Wheelset is not a simple combination of rim hub and spoke. We drill spoke hole at specific direction according to hub design so that the stress surface is well distributed. Carbon layer is also designed specifically to ensure the rim is strengthened at the spoke hole position while reducing abundant weight elsewhere.
